Dr Sadaf Akhtar

My journey into holistic therapy began in 2010, inspired by my own experiences with physical and mental health challenges and a lifelong interest in understanding wellbeing and how it can be nurtured. Since then, I have been dedicated to helping people heal and regain balance in their lives.

In 2015, I completed a PhD in Health Sciences, specialising in mental health and wellbeing. I now work primarily with adults, supporting recovery from trauma and emotional difficulties using an integrative approach that addresses both mind and body.

Over the years, I have helped clients overcome anxiety, stress, depression, phobias, panic disorder, social anxiety, PTSD and trauma. I also support people with relationship difficulties, work-related stress, study pressures and broader wellbeing goals, helping them create lasting positive change and greater resilience.

I am a fully insured, senior accredited therapist trained in the following approaches:

In addition, I am a qualified teacher and nutritional therapist, with degrees in Sociology and Psychology, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Research.

I believe that healing involves caring for the whole person. To support my own wellbeing, I regularly practise EFT, Yoga Nidra and mindfulness, maintain an active lifestyle and follow a balanced diet. Outside of my work, I enjoy spiritual retreats, mountain climbing, travelling, visiting art exhibitions, attending concerts, and cooking for family and friends.

My aim is to provide a compassionate, safe and supportive space where clients can heal from trauma, improve their mental health and move towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. 🙂
